Smart City & Intelligent Infrastructure Leader
Turns AI, sensing, and digital twins into smarter, safer, and more resilient cities.
"Cities are the most complex systems we build. I joined Totale Strata to help turn the data they generate into infrastructure that is safer, more resilient, and built to serve the people who depend on it."
Dr. Andrew Yun brings more than two decades of experience applying artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensing, and digital twins to infrastructure and smart cities. His work enables roads, bridges, buildings, and entire cities to be monitored, understood, and managed with data—spanning AI-driven road assessment and maintenance planning for local governments, robotic bridge inspection, structural health monitoring, and city-scale energy and digital-twin models. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, U.S. and Florida transportation agencies, and Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and includes more than 100 publications cited more than 1,000 times.
Andrew is also an entrepreneur who builds companies and cross-border partnerships around this work. He is the founder of HAUZ.ai, an AI platform for real estate, permitting, and housing, and founder and CEO of Dough.zone, a smart-city technology company. He chairs the MexKo Foundation, a nonprofit connecting industry, government, and academia across the Americas, Asia, and Europe through technology transfer, industrial certification, and workforce development. He co-founded Korea's Institute of Structural Health Monitoring and Control and has chaired and co-chaired leading international conferences on structural monitoring and bridge safety, including IABMAS 2026.
At Totale Strata, Andrew leads technical integration for intelligent infrastructure—bringing smart-city technology, digital twins, and AI to the firm's AI data center and infrastructure programs, and serving as a bridge between the United States, Korea, and Mexico. His ability to turn complex sensing data into clear, actionable insight aligns directly with Totale Strata's mission of modernization that is efficient, resilient, and meaningful for the communities it serves. Andrew is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida, where he directs the Advanced Imaging, Monitoring & Sensing Laboratory, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and an M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
